Hey, mates. <3 Long time no post. Sorry about that--life threw me for a loop for a while. I don't really feel like getting into it, but suffice to say no one had a job, and there were a lot of emotional troubles and stress. It's looking up now, though. After about six months of being unemployed, I managed to pick up a job for a gaming company doing customer service. It pretty much rocks. I'm really enjoying it. In the meantime, I'm looking at new places to rent in the area around work, since it's a hell of a commute, while my roommate puts the current house in order. Prices are a lot more affordable now around town, so it's not as scary to look, and it won't be hard for me to find a place where I can get a dog. <3 Things have calmed down considerably back home, as well. I even managed to afford to get my brakes fixed yesterday. Things are just looking so much better. There's the annual mansion LARP in a couple of weeks, and it's going to be crazy until then with me already running back and forth between home and work, but it's going to be completely worth it. I'm excited. Out of this stupid rut, and back to at least limping again. Sometimes, that makes all the difference in the world.

Hey, mates. Sorry for the somewhat last-minute update, but I'm leaving in a couple of hours to go back to Florida for a week. I seem to have phenomenal timing, though--I'll be arriving just in time to evacuate with my family for Hurricane Ike. I'm not -too- worried about it--we've been through worse--but it's bigger than any of the ones they've been through recently, so things will probably be a little hectic. We'll be staying in Orlando, though, and maybe even going to Universal Studios. So, wish me luck with all of that. Hopefully I'll get to actually spend time in the Keys before I come back next saturday.

I have no guarantee of internet while I'm there, of course. Thanks to Ike, I don't even have guarantee of electricity. XD But I'll see what I can manage while I'm out. <3 you lot.

So, :iconfreelanceangel: has tagged me. XD Seven random things about myself. Let's see if I can come up with seven I haven't posted before.


1. My nickname in California is Twin. I'm no one's biological twin. XD But Mowi and I seemed so similar when we met, that that was jokingly what she started calling me, and everyone else just picked it up when I moved out here, no matter how much Mowi tried to get them to call me "Kari."

2. I want another tattoo. I want a tribal design along my collarbone, with shaded circles implemented in it to represent the phases of the moon--from a full moon right under the hollow of my throat to new moons near the points of my shoulders. But I have no money.

3. I have been playing World of Warcraft since a couple of months after it first came out, and I still don't have a max level character. XD I have a bunch of mid-levels, because I spend all my time role playing and screwing around.

4. Until very recently, I disliked hamburgers because of their texture. They are now a regular part of my diet. >.> But then, I've been eating a lot of things recently that I never used to like. Being poor will do that to you. I also used to not like potatoes. o.o

5. I cannot stand seeing people use chatspeak, but Kai, Mowi and I got into such a habit of using it to make fun of people, that I often implement it into daily speech. I have accidentally become what I hate. XD Or, "H8," I suppose.

6. I can't make myself go to sleep early, despite the fact that I now work at 6am. I just can't stand it, and my body is more awake at night. It has resulted in a long period of unhappiness as far as my job goes.

7. I have an aversion towards those grabby hair clips. They're terrifying.



Forgive how odd this all was. XD The others have been using contact cement to make LARP weapons, so I may be a little high. <3
